Each basket is made out of a single piece of hardwood. We cut out the rim and continue to cut consecutive weavers until we reach the base on the scroll saw. The weavers are placed on the base at 180 degree turns to build the sides. Stakes are run down through the weavers to stabilize the basket and then everything is glued. After the basket is dry and sanded we treat it with an appropriate oil to finish the basket.
